The origins of Tidewater Imports
A youth spent tinkering with bikes and helping his dad fix cars convinced Rob Torrisi what he wanted to do with his life- be an auto mechanic. A business degree and a job at Hall Honda later, Rob realized a few things. He learned that he loved Hondas and wanted to continue focusing his work on them, and he learned that he did not want to remain a mechanic. Leaving with Hall Honda friend and coworker Kevin Linehan, Tidewater Import Car Service was born on October 1st, 1984. The foundation of the business has stayed the same ever since- quality service at a fair price.

A Hampton Roads native that transformed his lifelong love of cars into a business that would stand the test of time. Rob has been the owner of Tidewater Imports since the beginning, and can still be heard answering the phones and welcoming customers into the shop. A people-person by nature, Rob’s favorite aspect of his job is the relationships he has the pleasure to build and the problems he plays a hand in solving.
Our Location
Tidewater Imports is located in the same space it started in 1984. The shop is in the heart of Virginia Beach, next to Oceana Naval Air Station and easily accessible from route 64 for Honda or Acura owners across Hampton Roads.
